Hi, I am Danny Pittman. I am a 38 year old Texan who ended up in Gainesville, Ga. I own and operate Pittman Performance along with Signs and Designs by Pittman. Both are based out of Gainesville, Ga. My wife Wendy is amazing. She helped an ex-boyfriend build a 350 and put it in an El Camino. Not just hand me a wrench, but she got her hands dirty. Yes, I married a gearhead. More than that, when we first started dating, she told me that her favorite beer was Warsteiner. WOW!!! When you see her, ask her about her first trip to Road Atlanta. We also have 5 little gearheads ranging from 4 months to 16 years. Hey, it's a pit crew!

My racing and automotive service experience goes a little further than hers. I have been involved in motorsports in some capacity since 1988 when I started autocrossing. This continued to Road Atlanta where I volunteered in T&S, sound control, course cleanup, solo safety, and emergency vehicles. After starting my professional career as a firefighter, I eventually ended up with the track fire and ems service. During that time I graduated from autocross to roadracing, fun with WKA karts, and an appearance at Grassroots $2002 Challenge. This is when Pittman Performance was founded.

 

Instead of paying somebody to do my work,  I bought the tools to do the work myself. This led to me doing work for other people and eventually a traveling store and mailorder business. In the spring of 2007, I reluctantly decided to sell the retail and mail order portion of the business so I could spend more time with the family. Vinyl graphics are still available along with fabrication services.
